"The text of the 1st amendment is people are free to worship in whatever way they choose,people are also free to listen to any speaker they wish to hear,people are free to read whatever they wish,people are free to meet with others for any peaceful reasons,and people are free to ask the government to do something".
We should care about the 1st Amendment because without it all of us would have fewer rights and government would have more. All of the things we could do today is because the Founding Fathers discussion about creating the 1st Amendment.
The Founding Fathers created the 1st Amendment because they wanted to guarantee that Americans basic civil liberties would not be threatened by the government. The 1st amendment was also created to ensure the separation of church and state. Even of the Founding Fathers lives,they wanted to guarantee that the state didn't try to force religion on the people.
The 1st Amendment mean to me is without it we couldn't have the rights to worship the religion we want,we couldn't print anything we want,we couldn't speak in a big group,and people couldn't say what they want to say.
